Crosswalk
2010-07-08
I thought I saw her standing there
Windblown drops of rain
pelting down upon her
The sky crying about something
wailing to no one
screaming at everyone
Her back shielded her from me
nothing blocked the rain
I couldn't get a clear glimpse of her face
she looked towards the heavens and shook her head
The rain kept on coming
she started to go
She smoothly slid through the crowded street
Cars looking on, waiting for green
People nearly colliding
Phones and music and games
Never really seeing or believing
She zigged and zagged
Then in a flash she was gone.
Beauty of movement
in a moment in time
Something I wish I could have had
