Tomorrow is not today
Tomorrow is not today
no matter what my mind might say
The calendar says we're just over the hump
but I'm gearing up for the something that is nothing
ready to finish off this week
The time has gone quickly
I didn't seem to do as much
as I typically plow through
I wonder where it all goes?
So now I've gone back in time
to the day I never spent
Tomorrow may actually be Friday
but I'll be damned if I'll thank
any gods for that.
Give me liberty or give me death
give me a pint of Guinness
to quaff to your health
A week should never end
before it's finished
I don't feel complete.
So where are my friends
in my time of need
Why, I bet they're at work
as if their labor
was not all in futility
We live we work we die
So why shouldn't we stop and breathe
Maybe to play a bit
Oh the workday grind
It is destroying my mind
Tomorrow may not be today
But before I find the weekend
I have to push through one more day
